Couldn’t I do this myself?
- Sure, but it will take at a minimum of 18 months to put everything in place. You will need to do all the research on exercise systems, training, life coaching, and put it into a system people can use.
- Then you will need to test the product on over to 5,000 people, once you have it the way you want it, you need to record it, and make sure people can use it to train your staff with it for the next 5-10 years.
- You will need to invest about $10,000 in educational materials, then you need to pay someone for 18 months, even at $15 per hour, it will cost you $43,200, for an unproven product. For all of the time for development, you lose money you could be billing over the 18 months a 1,000-person club at 12% penetration is a loss of $405,960.
- So, yes you could pay to have an unproven product made yourself but it would cost you about $449,160, or you could just invest in our product today, and reap the rewards right now.
Do you offer a certification?
- No, we don’t want to get into that business. We can recommend some, but they are not teaching the things that most trainers really need to be successful. That’s what our system does.
- Remember, we are their to make the club successful.
Should my trainers be employees?
- Yes. We know payroll taxes can scare some owners, but here are three points why you should make your trainers employee’s. Make sure you keep in line with state and federal laws, fines are not pretty. There are things in this program that you cannot do with independent contractors. Having your trainers be employees make Members happy and more confident in your gym.
- Here are a list of questions to see if you have or want Employees or Independent Contractors:
- Do you want the right to direct and control details and means by which Trainers train clients?
- Do you want the right to give the Trainer instructions about when, where, and how he or she is to do the job?
- Do you want the right to train the Trainer?
- Do you want the Trainer to not be able to work with a competitor, right across the street?
- Do you want the right to fire the Trainer at any time without incurring liability?
- Is Training performed part of the regular business of the Club?
- Do you want the right to keep Trainers from substituting anyone to complete training for your clients?
- Do you want your Trainers to keep track of clients workouts and notes, and you own the rights to these notes?
- Do you have a training office and expect the Trainers to train your members in your gym?
- Do you want the Trainer to only sell your Products? (supplements and other equipment)
- If you answer yes to any one of these, you probably already have employees anyway, and you are running the risk of getting caught. If a gym owner misclassifies an employee as an independent contractor, the employer can be charged a huge fine and would end up owing the IRS all back taxes with penalties ranging from 12-15% of the owed.
- We feel it is better to just have the trainers be listed as employees. Create a better product, charge a little more, and make up for the tax issues.
- If you want help transitioning to Employees, we will happily help you.
Do all my trainers have to do the IFCSystems when I purchase it?
- No they do not. But it would make sense for you to have them all train under one system. It will help keep a consistent feel in the club and keep your clients much happier knowing that they aren’t getting conflicting information from trainers.
Where do I get the Training logs?
- You may purchase them online through one of our Approved Print Companies. This will also keep your costs down, because of group printing.
- We are not making any money from the printing, we are controlling the information that you are paying to get access too. One of our first clubs got the PDFs to the training logs, and they were on the internet within a month of sending them out.
- Also, when we improve the training logs, or make adjustments, we just send over the corrected PDFs to the printers and they update their files.
What are the monthly dues?
- After you purchase the product, at this time there are no monthly dues. The product is yours and you owe nothing further to the IFCSystems.
Will you come to my club and help us? Or can we come to your club and see it in action?
- Yes to both. First if you would like us to come to your club, for a small fee we can be there as many times as you would like. Secondly, you may come to our club and shadow our trainers and learn first hand how the system works and is implemented.
How do I use this to train my trainer?
- There are DVDs and Workbooks that are used to teach your trainer everything they need to know. We want to make sure they are the most educated coaches in the industry. All you have to do is check their workbooks and make sure they are following the course plan.
What equipment do I need?
- You will need your standard selectorized equipment, dumbbells, free weights, stability balls, BOSUs, Dyna Discs, AirX pads, Rubber bands, and medicine balls from 5-15 pounds. We don’t want to make you go out and purchase lots of expensive equipment. We want to make you lots of money as soon as possible, not break your piggy bank.
How do I get my trainers to buy into the “System?”
- Our workouts have trained over 5,000 clients and have been developed using the latest in training modalities. We have done extensive research in functional training, nutrition, recovery techniques, life coaching, goal setting, and interval cardio training.
- Each training log is a 13-17 week periodized workout, designed for the specific level of your clientele. It would take your trainer more than 500 hours per year to write similar workouts if they had about 15 clients. Many of out trainers have 20-40 clients each, that means they would spend over 1000 hours every year writing workouts and not working on marketing and servicing there clients properly.
- Also, are all of your trainers making the amount of money they want? I am talking between $30,000 and $75,000 per year and taking vacations? Our system will help them move faster in that direction.
Do you provide Billing, Nutrition software? Or will it interfere with my current software?
- We do not provide you with billing software, but we have worked with MindBodyOnline and developed a software system with all of our pricing and billing options. If you are interested in a new system it is already made and ready for you to purchase it. However if you have a system in place, we can work with you to help set up your billing and any other problems you might have.
How do I know my clients will like it?
- Again we have trained over 5000 clients with this program. Our clients love this program because it is fun and effective. They don’t do the same workout for more than 3 weeks at a time. So it keeps them excited about moving on to a new phase and trying something new. Also the workouts are designed for your clients to move around, balance on 1 leg, twist, turn and use fun equipment in every workout. It will test their physical limits every session, making them want to come back for more!
How much room do I need?
- You don’t need much room at all. You can train one client in a 5x5 space. As long as you have a free-weight area and a small amount of open space you will be fine. Any gym can fit these workouts into the room they have. We have designed the first level of books to work with equipment you already have and the space that a typical gym has.
